Clubs and Societies 2010

University life is much more than just going to lectures, slaving over assignments and worrying about exams... your University experience should be about getting involved and having fun as well. Clubs and Societies at Peninsula Campus are a great way to get more out of your University experience by providing a social outlet, an avenue to meet new friends and also the opportunity to develop new skills that will be invaluable both throughout and after your University degree. Furthermore, being a part of a Club Committee (not just a member) teaches you essential life skills that will benefit you professionally after your course; especially with gaining potential job opportunities. Monash University Peninsula Campus is very lucky to have a wide range of different Clubs including sport-based Clubs, spirituality-based Clubs as well as course-based Clubs. Basically there is a club to suit every person's interest. Join a club and discover that there is more to university life!

To start a club at MONSU Peninsula, at least 10 Peninsula students need to be interested in forming a club who share similar values and beliefs. Once this is completed student council need to agree the proposal and if successful the club becomes operational and allows for the many benefits associated with becoming a MONSU registered club. The benefits include free advertising of events within the Student Union, selling of tickets for events and activities, and management of club finances run by MONSU staff.

The running of a club includes elected officials managing the daily operation of their clubs committee, organizing events and activities for members, which can include events and activities such as trivia nights, fundraisers, BBQ's, balls and booze cruises. Go on... get involved!
